Nope. Many come here ostensibly to "study", immediately drop out of whatever course they were enrolled on and vanish into the ghettos, never to be seen again.

Because they have no intention of "studying", perhaps...?

@SashedPotato This is exactly the point: coming in under the guise of "being a student" is "semi-legal", and much less likely to warrant investigation and deportation.

"What do the numbers tell us?" Err...we're "fu**ed", I think...

When illegal immigration is included, it's an influx about the same as the population of the country of Guyana.

Blair set the precedent. Admittedly, the "Tories" have only made the situation worse.

@lemcakes32422 Considering that most of the students themselves are "bogus", I don't think it's at all unreasonable to include them in the figures.

@Kwippy How vile and selfish are those foreign students who come to our country with no intention whatsoever of "studying", immediately drop out of whatever course they're supposed to be on and (usually aided and abetted by whatever far left excuse for a "university" they're enrolled at) vanish into the ghettos and place yet more burden on the already hard-pressed British taxpayer?

"Study"! That would be funny if it wasn't so disastrous. Our more "culturally enriched" universities are basically backdoor routes for getting into the UK by pretty nefarious means.

@dominokid7996 Thank God Blair didn't stir up the hornets' nest of the Islamic world, or anything daft like that...

@@pimpstar15 That's quite possibly THE stupidest comment I've ever read on YT. It's not the "size of the country" that's the important factor, it's "whether there are adequate resources to accommodate the number of people trying to come here." Since we need about 1.5 million new houses and our public services are stretched beyond breaking point, I think it's pretty obvious that we don't have adequate resources.

@fredcarson2791 Agreed. Thatch did a lot right, but she also dropped a lot of clangers in the name of "giving free reign to market forces".
