He fled and took refuge in Russia... an interpol arrest warrant has been issued against him. The civil war in the Donbass between Ukrainian soldiers and pro-russia separatists -armed by Russia+Russian soldiers+members of the Wagner Group began in 2014, the year of the annexation of Crimea by Russia (annexation condemned by the UN (resolution 68/262).) This is a War of expansion.

@far_centrist it was pro-European demonstrations against a President considered too pro-Russian by part of the population. Take into consideration that Ukraine has been independent for not so long and that anything deemed too pro-Russian may be rightly or wrongly suspicious.)

@far_centrist yes cookies time. But it was pro-eu protests and by increasing the role of Russia in the national economy, V. Yanukovych also increases Russia overall influence in Ukraine.

@far_centrist one thing for me is certain, the leaders of Russia do not want to lose the influence see the grip they can have on their neighbor. the fact that Ukraine has applied for membership of the European Union should not please everyone...
