  2. I'm not an advocate for a gold standard. Gold has it's uses. Historically, it has been used as currency and for bodily adornment. It is still used as currency and as a store of wealth. My comment was in relation to drawn out and poor analogy. It was not in relation to whether booms and busts are natural or not.
