On Jan. 30, the CDC confirmed publicly for the first time the person-to-person spread of Wuhan virus and applauded WHO’s decision. That day, the president created the White House Coronavirus Task Force to coordinate efforts regarding this new disease. The next day, Jan. 31, the president declared coronavirus a U.S. public health emergency and issued the ban on travel between the United States and China. Feb. 18: The CDC reaffirmed that the “risk to Americans from coronavirus is low.”

  2.  @johntomasini3916  There has been no shortage of ventilators (some doctors are currently questioning whether they are the right approach for many covid-19 patients/ the ventilator pressures may be doing more harm than good). The CDC was slow getting test kits together, because there was an issue with the first attempt. The CDC is responsible for this. The CDC had not even established that there is human-to-human transmission right up until the 30th of Jan. Pelosi was inviting everyone down to Chinatown on Feb 22nd.

  4.  @davidkeenan5642  At least travel restrictions were initiated. The 'one job' WHO spoke out against travel restrictions from China on Feb 4th as I recall. This was rightfully ignored by nations protecting their populations.

  7. Feb 22nd Monday: Nancy Pelosi toured San Francisco’s Chinatown Monday to send a message. That message is that there is no reason tourists or locals should stay away from Chinatown out of fear over coronavirus.
