  1. Considering NZ has something like near doubled it's debt since 2019, NZ is already screwed. The portion of Kiwis who actually produce wealth (rather than drain wealth) will likely not be able to reverse this. The debt repayments are massive.

  3.  @jwatstom  America's debt did not 'near double', but their economy is being trashed too. If I ran a household, business or economy like any of these nations, I would expect to be fired, or to feel greater pain ahead with loan obligations.

  5.  @LauraTeKiwiBirb  The UK is screwed and sinking. NZ is screwed and following the UK down. Australia is has huge mining reserves to fall back on, yet they are still screwing up. NZ does not have the level of mined exports to fall back on. I lived in Australia for 26 years up until 2022. Now in living in NZ. If I ran my household or business in the same manner these nations are being ran, I would expect to end up with less in life in the years ahead. Perhaps broke.
