  3.  @daver00lzd00d  It is important to be mindful that the emotions and words we express are not empty. As we know, many words can lead to action. When one refers to a non-human animal with words that make them less than us, our treatment toward non-human animals will reflect that. Which is clearly shown in the Earthlings documentary. Please note, the ability for animals and plants to feel pain are not the same. Perhaps, that is why someone is called a vegetable when brain dead.

Additionally, there are powerful actual human-relevant biomedical approaches to studying and responding to novel viruses. Therefore, it is absolutely unnecessary to be using non-human animals to understand human animal diseases in our modern world.
