  2.  @PortlandMan  But certainly enough to reduce reliance on energy companies. I know quite a few households that are even selling excess energy back to the grid. Hybrid schemes of taxes on energy giants to loan/grant household solar panels, with energy sold back/used to pay off the panels would definitely work.
