  1. UK needs to enter modern times. Their railway system, staff and employment terms are stuck in the 80s and earlier. Emulate what Germany, Singapore, Japan and South Korea do. Invest any money in infrastructure and technology, not increasing salaries. Long term this will mean cheaper tickets, faster journeys, greater efficiency and higher salaries for those employed
