  1. I don't think it was guilt in the first place in 2015. Millions of germans became refugees from the east after WWII like my mother and at the time it seemed unthinkable to turn away other refugees. But since I looked into Islam more closely I am definitely over that sentiment and my mother and her family are too, I think.
