  1. I'm 53 and have been working out since I was 20 years old and have never set foot in a gym. I've always had a home gym that I updated over the decades. Gyms are a waste of money. I suggest to anyone gullible enough to sign a gym membership contract that you open a separate bank account exclusively used only for your membership and transfer the monthly fee into it yourself manually every month. That way, if you do decide to stop going, the gym doesn't have any access to your real bank account and won't be able to milk you dry until the contract finally expires and you can cancel it. YOU control access to your money, NOT the greedy gym corporation. When you decide to stop going they won't be able to charge your real account and you can safely close the second one and walk away.
