I've tried this. Back in 2006 I completed a 1,000 hour yoga teacher diploma age 36. Did I finish with any friends at the end? Nope. Not a single one. I was hoping that at the end one or two of the other students would want to go to India as a graduation reward. Nope. No one wanted to. Not a single one. I also completed a two year diploma in 1997 at age 27 and again, at the end, no one wanted to stay friends. I did it also in 1990 at age 20. Again, no one wanted to remain friends. My last friend was in 1994 when I was 24. Since then I've kept to my family, my boyfriend (later my husband). Today want to know who ARE my true friends? My fellow church goers. No one else has wanted to be a friend since 1994 besides my church friends. I'm 53 by the way. In my experience, people are false, hide their true intentions behind a mask and really mean you harm or ill will. Anytime I attempted to make a friend, that person's real personality came out and it was never for the better. This is why I've chosen to form friendships with only fellow Christians and no one else. Human nature is evil by default, not good. The radical left have the fixed false belief that everyone is inherently good. Nope. Wrong. Humans are inherently evil and wicked. We hide our sins in the darkness, too ashamed to bring them into the light for judgement. Humans would rather revel in their sinful desires of the flesh than purge themselves of the evil they secretly harbour deep down inside the darkest recesses of their minds. I don't want to associate with those who speak only of peace. I want my friend to remind me of the judgement that awaits me if I don't change my mind and stop doing whatever wicked thing I am at the time. A true friend will speak of doom and judgement, not peace. Preaching peace is for the false Christians. For those false prophets, who preach lies, contradictory statements with God's commands, is paid money to preach, whose teachings bear rotten fruit and whose prophesies never come true.
