The rich used to show their wealth and status via their material possessions. But that all changed over the past 20 years because of political correctness and world issues like climate change. Its now considered vulgar to flaunt your wealth openly. So today the rich display "luxury beliefs" to show off their status. By showing off the latest progressive belief they can once again signal their status to one another. They're not doing it to show off to us, they couldn't care less about the Middle or working class. They only care about other people in their own class. My mother was a haute couture dressmaker. She taught me to sew at age 12 on industrial sewing machines and I later went on to study fashion design and apparell patternmaking. She would take me with her to the specially fabric/haberdashery houses to buy small yardage of fabric her client requested for their garment to be made.I learned all about quality fabric buying. Growing up she custom made all my clothes until I reached 15 when I started to make them myself. Today I sew only for my family. I'm 53 now. The rich only care about having a private, personal tailor (for men) or seamstress (for women). They get everything they wear made of the highest quality fabric custom made to their individual body measurements. They dress in an understated but sophisticated way. Their worst nightmare is being seen in the same outfit as someone else. That would shame them to the core.
