I'm 53 years old and I never think about the past. I only ever care about the future. I admit I've always thought this way about life. Anytime I've suffered a setback in my life, I never was one to mourn any loss but would immediately start thinking about what to do next. I had a life to live and the clock was ticking. I've only thought about the past as far as the lessons learned and what valuable knowledge I could teach my son before his 18th birthday, when my time as his caretaker would end and he would no longer listen to me or accept my advice. He is 15 now and I homeschool him, so I consider myself lucky to have been given the privilege to teach him the morals and values I think would be of most use to him as a male in the 21st century. I am a Christian so this has shaped my views.
