  1. As a childhood sexual/physical abuse survivor I'd like to offer some clarity regarding "trauma" & "violence".. Being repeatedly sat on & suffocated is both violent & traumatic.! Being thrown around the room, into walls & furniture then made fun of for crying is both traumatic & violent.! Being terrified of being left alone with your abuser & being threatened into remaining silent is traumatic.! Being forced into sexual acts that you don't understand is very traumatic.! Then finding out in your twenties that you weren't the only one to be abused, your two sisters were too.... Is traumatic.! Living with the knowledge that if you'd have said something you could have prevented them from being abused is VERY VERY TRAUMATIC.!.!.!. Then when one of your sisters kill themselves because they couldn't live with the TRAUMA... IS EXTREMELY F*CKING TRAUMATIC.!! ...... ..... ..... Being called something other than your chosen identity IS NOT TRAUMATIC.! Being looked at the wrong way IS NOT TRAUMATIC.!! Not getting your own way is NOT TRAUMATIC.! The way serious words are overly used nowadays has eroded away their meaning. I'm 44 now & the trauma inflicted on me as a child has festered away & grown worse & worse to the point that It affects/controls most aspects of my life.. I suffer daily anxiety attacks, can't relax or sleep properly, can't work, can't leave the house, can't have relationships, I weep constantly because I can find no meaning/satisfaction/joy or future in my life & I think of suicide often. That's real TRAUMA.. So stop being a bunch of whiny little twats with victimhood complexes & give me (& others) my f*cking word back before someone really gives you some TRAUMA & VIOLENCE.!
