  1. The very notion of teenagers really only happened since WW2. Before that you were a child till puberty, then as your brain was fully developed, you were cast as an adult. I think much hardship for children is because of helicopter parents, with good intentions, promoting a fanciful world of unreality, often living that unreality themselves. This is a borrowed reality and the 'interest' is deepening despair and gloom for all. Doom n Gloom sells panic and folk stampede from an unreality of despair and deprivation.
