Some good ideas John.
Warning bell need to be rung on some of your ideas though.
However don't forget that government regulations and red tape has greatly aided the Corona virus.
The more you rely on government, whether it be Australia, UK, US, UN or EC, you start to get away from rationality and into the domain of politics and politicians. There are huge problems there.
Politicians will always, in democracies, be trying to make themselves popular to win votes, just as much as the Opposition parties will try as much as possible to hamper successful politicians not on their side.
Politicians increasingly tend to be party machine figures, with little or no practical experience except touting party lines and running numbers to further their careers.
Government paid public servants will be rigid and enforce red tape and hamper nimbleness as in the CDC in the US which regulated out better virus tests, only to rely on a late failed test regime, costing billions and lives. Private enterprise had one ready in a week.
Once a government becomes huge, it tends to drown out what is left of civil society.
It will kowtow to minorities to garner extra votes, it will, increase revenues, it will imprison objectors and subjugate normal citizens. It will eventually install itself as supreme power, as has happened wherever it has had a chance.
Look at the EU, look at CCP China and Xi and look at so many large heavy governments, edging toward domination of citizenry.
Look at Doctor Li Wenliang, who tried to warn us, got prosecuted, signed his confession for treason and retracted the truth about Covid and died.
Be warned on large government, look at history, look at the development of totalitarian government, so easy to happen.
Do things from a bottom up, grass roots perspective, not force, regulation, fines, detainment, heavy handedness.
Laws and regulations and power, once taken up by authorities, are rarely laid aside.
Be careful for what you wish John and Folk.
