  2. New Zealand is in an identity crisis. It is a small free market funded economy at a crossroads, like Australia. The population is largely ignorant of the dangers of lack of knowledge of postmodern trends. Sadly it is, like Australia wading into unknown cultural eddies and currents which are antithetical to western traditions of tolerance, charity, trust and personal individual responsibility. This bodes well for neither nations. Both are playing with fire, Ms Adern seriously considering herself a benevolent and wise leader, Mr Morrison seriously taking expertism too far in pandemic suppression of the populace. You are right John, Denmark realises that the best way forward is boldly using scientific knowledge to allow individual freedom.
