  1. John, it's good that you broach these subjects. When you talk about we only go on what the evidence is, it begs the question of what is the right evidence. And this means that we need to develop critical thinking to differentiate evidence that does support a conclusion and evidence that doesn't. What you are doing is very important and part of scientific method and scientific method underpins, the faith that the public might have in conclusions. Ethics is involved here too. It's not that drug companies are intrinsically unethical, but that the profit motive and the responsibility to their shareholders might cloud their judgements. So there's really a lot of room for discussion over the coming years about these things and it's really so important because each and every individual has to have this clear in their minds in order for knowledge to become power. The power is the power of discernment.
