  8. Well it's now a done deal with Sweden and Finland joining NATO. Russia by entertaining a psychopathic and murderous Putin has put itself deeper into the muddy waters of desperation. When the show view union, a murderous Empire did collapse through corruption and impossible economics. Russia was invited to join NATO. NATO is a defence organisation and as part of defence you have to be looking forward and of course NATO does this. So Russian exceptionalism personified in the grandiose narcissistic Putin has further isolated itself with the greedy takeover of not only Georgia, not only the Crimea, but the attempt at Ukraine and what it can't get in Ukraine, it will smash. Russia could have been a great power, but instead went down the route of Stalinism disastrous Leninism and even more disastrous centralised economics. We can only hope for the great Russian people that all of this nonsense falls away and that they can join in with the rest of the world in a free market. Where folks that are good at something can be good at it and other folks that are good and another thing can be good at it and we can swap those goods and services in a rational way which humans have done into antiquity.

  10. It is already well known that in desert areas, particularly in the Australian desert areas which were often part of an inland sea. As you raise the water table, you raise the salt to the surface and this renders the land completely useless. So although your subject matter is interesting, it's well and truly an obsolete notion and idea. As far as Australians are concerned as water in the outback destroys the land even further, so none of this will be done and it's not even considered now.
