  1. Communism is really simply a dictatorship driven by an almost completely inhuman drive for elite level power, with a personality cult reinforced at all levels. The problem with all centrally planning, seen very much in the West as well, is that the few minds at work, and the few locations of valued goods and services, the most prone is the system to be lopsided, unintelligent and failure prone. That is exactly why free markets, ownership and distribution of goods and services survive well. The valuables curve is flattened and more robust.
