( AND forget about that non-sense called a 'democracy' - The United Sates right from the beginning in Sept 17th, 1787, when the U.S Constitution was signed, was a REPUBLIC ... and the 'democracy' has no place in the Republic ! :-)

@lisettegarcia yes, if we want to split hairs, but the structure of the United States was founded, and still is the same after 240 years - the form of ( Republican) government where the laws are made by 'representatives', and who MUST comply with a U.S. Constitution (!) , which forces them to respect the INDIVIDUALS' RIGHTS and also the rights of the individual ( United States) States ... ...whereas the 'corrupt' Parliamentary ( EUropean) Democracies get gamed by the (political) "majority" in their parliaments ( and then the 'majority' can IGNORE the rights of the INDIVIDUALS , and/or are free to ingnore the rights of INDIVIDUALS ) - and so their BigGovernment can missuse the lack ( in their own countries) the "power" of the U.S. Constitution which protects the Americans !
