You realize movie producers and the military have been adapting semiautos and full autos to use "pyro blanks" (as opposed to frangible wood bullet blanks) since the 1930s or so, right? Admittedly, some.designs are easier to blanks adapt than others (and a recoil operated revolver like this or the Webley-Fosbury would be at least as tricky as other recoil operated guns, like the ubiquitous semiauto pistols in almost all TV shows and movies with guns that aren't a Western). I mean, you can't just slap a bore obstruction in it like a pure blowback or gas operated gun.

The recoiling mass basically cancels out most or all the recoil/flip advantage of the low bore axis, as Ian points out and the high speed close up shows.

So, two questions... Can you fire it double action for the first shot, like a DA/SA semi? What are the three holes that look like threaded recesses in front of the trigger guard? I was wondering if that was a mounting point for an optic like an Old School Aimpoint or C-More.
