  1.  @RamsesTheFourth We used to pay 6000 dollars a month for 1 megabit. Now starlink is between 50 and a couple hundred. Its a big difference. Also allot faster. Think about spending a couple months on a ship. Now you can video call your kid every day and its no big deal.

People are making some over the top claims on this thread. there is no way that satellites can see your finger prints. or see read writing on a penny Even the JWST pointed at earth with adaptive optics couldn’t do that. It would be diffraction limited. I bet the best is pretty awesome and in the range of a couple centimeters.

  3. Im not worried about invasion of privacy from satellites. On the topic of how good the satellite imagery must be keep in mind the US had a bunch of sr71s but voluntarily they don’t bother anymore and retired them.
