  4. Where Adam said that the violence of of the hamas incursion was beyond the pale is a huge problem. The image of hamas fighters intentionally gunning down women and children and taking hostages is indelible now. Like Adam said it was so horrific that it scrambled formerly moderate peoples points of view. The people that would have pushed for a more balanced Israeli response are now radicalized or sidelined. I cant imagine how any of this is going to ever be resolved now. There are no good options for anyone involved.

  5. Space x put as much mass in orbit as pretty much every other company on earth put together. Also without tesla electric cars would still be getting mothballed every 5 years. So feel free to hate Elon but he isnt a dumb guy. He is terrible at public speaking. He is bad with people. He is also super weird. But not like your average silicon valley tech bro.

  7. what pissed me off the most about crypto is the huge amount of oil and coal that was burned essentially to provide an easy way for criminals to launder money from human trafficking narcotics, weapons and ransoms. All the while tech bros spouted utopian BS. Honestly it makes the credit card companies seem virtuous by comparison.

  9. Blockchain is not very transformative. It was way over hyped for what it really is. Many of its implementations are also terrible for the planet as it wastes tons of power. I do agree that some of the AI stuff is likely transformative.
