Where Adam said that the violence of of the hamas incursion was beyond the pale is a huge problem. The image of hamas fighters intentionally gunning down women and children and taking hostages is indelible now. Like Adam said it was so horrific that it scrambled formerly moderate peoples points of view. The people that would have pushed for a more balanced Israeli response are now radicalized or sidelined. I cant imagine how any of this is going to ever be resolved now. There are no good options for anyone involved.
