  1. I totally agree that a US intervention in Mexico would be a disaster. However it wouldn’t be the first time politicians decided to do something incredibly stupid with the US military.

  2. The cartels in Mexico are a huge problem but the smart fix for the problem is to gradually pivot manufacturing from china to central America. If there are more good paying jobs in central america people wont flee north. Also if people are paying taxes in mexico the Mexican government will have more resources to deal with the cartels. reducing the need for the cartels is easier than fighting them.
