Maybe other places in Africa have the natural resources Niger does not. It is dry almost impossible to grow anything. Also one or two uranium mines is not enough to support 25 million people. It is cheaper to mine other places that have better infrastructure.
9
no but it flies good and launches modern missiles which is way better than broken ancient soviet planes.
5
It was so shameful when the whitehouse under trump abruptly abandoned the Kurds after all that.
5
@JeikuAnimeReview then why was it done by “conservatives”
4
@SW-lx2pf hypersonic drones are not a thing. you are thinking of icbms.
4
Its not the uranium its the geography and that air base.
3
well that’s horrifying but I guess all of it is.
3
@adamb8317 that doesn’t even make sense
2
This makes sense only if you ignore every naval engagement since like the 40s.
2
@jacksmith-mu3ee in what war china and the US were on the same side in ww2 and Korea was basically a draw?
2
@JLSMaytham how does a hypersonic missile adjust targeting data for a moving target when its forward looking radar and communications are interrupted by the plasma cause by their high speed. Hypersonic missiles are garbage and made mostly for pr and intimidation.
2
@ericjuanlava4734 the fighters on CAP are there to prevent enemy from slowly positioning itself all around the strike group. the enemy will not be able to sit there at their leisure launching missiles they will be busy trying hard not to die.
2
@wedgeantilles8575 yea but they are asking for everything. The US has a giant air force and its not like the army is getting rid of all the tanks.
2
Does it burn bunker oil like the the rest? Kinda looks like its smoking in the picture. (mostly joking) but only mostly
1
What part is BS ? The shipping companies are lying about being fired at and taken hostage?
1
If a US naval ship gets sunk it will be because Chinese or Russians are pretending to be Houthi’s and firing modern anti ship missiles.
1
@PresidentsPlayPARODY I bet that story is cherry picked. like some one found the most expensive ceramic nano technology fancy bushings ever sold the US govt and posted it to get clicks. also how many bushings are in the bag?
1
I have definitely seen the pro wagner PR campaign on youtube. It is interestingly now there seems to a distinction between wagner and russia but there is no wagner flag emoji to past all over the comments.
1
I think Russia more than anyone should be worried about how many anti tank helicopters china has.
1
i was looking at a map of Yemen and it said Dash controls part of the middle is that correct?
1
Good luck trying to sink a carrier with basically no navy. Yea the Chinese could and maybe the Russians if they are lucky. The Houthi’s are a joke.
1
@nickghilea3624 no it wasn’t read some history trump caved in to turkey and sold out allies . I remember. you cant just re write history when the people that were there are still around.
1
the stealth ship concept makes me think to many comprises would have to be made to maintain stealth. at the end of the day you still have something that cab only go 50 mph and is thousands of tons. How hard could it be to find?
1
@Ludak021 ”what little bavy they have” that comment is completely disconnected with reality. If there was a naval war in the south china sea There would be huge casualties on both sides. The chinese navy might have more ships but the US navy has better and more tonnage and much better subs. Also 11 of the most advanced nuke powered aircraft carriers. Would the US loose a-lot yes but so would china. It would be bad for everyone. Also keep in mind the US shoots down drone like every day near Yemen while the chinese navy sits on its hands.
1
could be the Ukraine sent missile and drones and the drones were hit?
1
@alonzoharris326 The US prints the worlds reserve currency so Im not to worried about it. Also this is what the navy is good at. It probably wont cost any more than if they were running drills. Its not like the US navy is parked somewhere being inexpensive when they aren’t chasing pirates and murderers.
1
@scottfay3553 yea except a 30 year old anti missile system used by minimally trained Ukrainians. Oh and the Russians barely have any left. Its estimated that there are like 75 left. oh even better some russian henchmen threw the scientist that developed it out a window so they probably wont be getting software updates.
1
i cant imagine that the defense of Taiwan is going to hinge on old 155mm artillery shells. Anti ship missiles though…..
1
i cant believe we are paying for more of these if they can’t be deployed. is the transmission even fixed?
1
i’m not in the navy but i have done a lot of ship based research and logistics stuff. I really like the module part. It’s too bad the execution seems so lousy.
1
@johnashton4776 because the don’t go ask them.
1
I mean they can fire on random ships but the US navy can also sink their entire navy with no effort and also the Iranian navy with just slightly more effort so they might want to think about it for a bit.
1
The Houthi’s have a bunch of trash missiles. Which is why they have hardly hit anything. If the US manages to run out of missiles we will just send slightly more of the largest navy on earth. Also those destroyers are just the tip of the iceberg of what the US navy has lying around.
1
oh also the navy has more than just missiles have you seen those phalanx guns fire its nuts.
1
Im sure that the non -Israeli international crews of the civilian ships getting shot at totally understand you armchair perspective. Especially those that are being held hostage for nothing and cant go home.
1
The US policy makers decided it was no longer in the US interest to occupy Afghanistan because it wasn’t really serving any US foreign policy interest. The proceeded to leave in a pretty disorganized and crap lousy manner.
1
it sounds like it will be awful to actually fly.
1
The navy can use electronic warfare on the drones. They probably are using EW which is probably why the Houthi’s are missing so much.
1
@@DescendantsofYeshuaImitially there was a protest against the Coup. So its hard to tell. Maybe the military should call an election and have some African institution monitor it for fairness.
1
50 dollars a day is crazy. Just keeping the power on and generator / engine getting oil changed would cause a couple hundred per day. that doesn’t include wages. without power they aren’t even running pumps and radar.
1
That africom report does sound like bullcrap.
1
China and the US share an interest in protecting international shipping However the Chinese navy has just about about up with the us navy from the 1950s. We don’t really want to encourage the Chinese to step it up to the 21st century.
1
I cant believe this is the first time they are drawing the whole thing in CAD first . I don’t think I have done a project yet which wasn’t all CAD and im old.
1
I mean the USA just didnt think it would need millions of artillery shells. If 5 years ago in the US some one put in an order for millions of shells then we would have them. companies don’t scale up production lines for things people don’t order.
