  1. In response to your question @4:19 - I have a college degree, a fat amount of loan debt, and upon graduation could only find work at my local bargain grocery store. August marked my 2-year anniversary there, but honestly, I've been applying to jobs and considering quitting to just take government benefits ever since. I understand those that just ride the benefits train rather than work a crumby job ringing up groceries: jobs that pay the legal bare minimum for bullshit work can go to hell. I still have hope I'll eventually get out of the grocery store and land something that pays more, or at least allows me to sit on my ass all day staring at a computer screen. But everyday that light of hope gets dimmer and dimmer.

  3. I make it a point to vote in all local elections. Granted, I live in an unincorporated part of a county, not a city, so I don't have a city council to vote for, but if there was one I would definitely vote in it's elections. But I must say, living in Oregon it's easy to vote when the state mails you your ballot and a booklet with information on the candidates running in your elections. And now I wait for my heart emoji.
