AK74 can pierce several wooden planks. AKM can pierce a wall brick several bricks thick. Mosin can pierce a refrigerator. Inside a concrete house. 2km away. Don't joke with full sized rifle ammo.

I'm actually surprised nobody tried to make even smaller AK/AR for MP7/P90 rounds. Pointless? Yes. Absolutely cool? Hell yes!
23
Is it finally the mythical .223 revolver? No?
14
That's still mostly the demonstration of the kinetic power of .50BMG that doesn't fully represent other .50 calibers that relied on HE ammo like german 13mm MG-131 or british/italian/japanese failure called .50 Vickers.

Doubles as flahbang.

BAR was originally classified as "assault phase rifle" and intended for "walking fire" like Chauchat. Fedorov also had some similar ideas. Obviously it didn't work out, so it took 20 more years(since things like Burton, Ribeyrolles and italian clone of the latter were scrapped) to get to modern assault rifles and wehraboo claim to fame. So logically that would be BAR. Or HCAR if you want modern iteration.

And Taurus still failed to deliver 5,56x45 revolver. It seems that double carry is indeed in the past and hand cannons will remain in videogames. While S&W500 is an interesting piece, I really hope to see it with optic and wooden stock one day. Or someone to come up with .50 gas seal ammo beforehand😂

That early 2000's Discovery vibe of the intro....

Now mount Istech underbarrel for MP5 to it and grab your urban camo and gasmask.

@Davyd_luk nah, swastika has two Z, the second one is just rotated 90° 😂 So they're national socialists, just without a straight angle ;)

Technically speaking nothing stops you from loading the same 23mm shell(I said shell, not full round. Casing from autocannon is obviously not used!) from ZSU-23-4 into it and firing said HE. The question is if shotgun case has enough velocity to push that thing away from you on safe distance without dislocating anything. Which makes it basically a grenade launcher. Add the fact that nowadays you likely can have programmable airburst in said caliber...

/within 150 meters/ So, how are those rifles working out for you?

@tylerwilliams6022 tbh I posted this comment before video started so I didn't knew he'd be making Bladerunner bit. But as he said "revolver of the future" my mind had just gone to double carry attempt of Taurus from a decade ago. Because it's not like there is much else you can get out of a revolver. What else? Gas seal and low bore axis, I guess. And make french produce it;)

@tylerwilliams6022 most small arms tech would come from miniaturisation of artillery technology now. So after we go caseless ammo with electric triggers, we'll see electrothermochemical propellants, long rod telescopic ammo, guided, programmable and airburst ammo and maybe multiload cases. Muzzle end ballistic calculators akin to ones used on Gepard SPAAG for example should have already been around.

1)sorry, haven't known that. Thanks for info and.product names

@robertkaschner1655 2)yes. But that doesn't make them less cool, does it?
1
@frankedgar6694 I specifically replaced M4 with AK74 to avoid turning a quote about difference of power between intermediate and full power rifle cartridges into a pointless political one. But here we are, you still managed anyway!

@boostedbadboyzx12r31 Beowulf "stopping rifles" aren't sidearms. Or pistols. No, SBR without a stock is not a pistol... unless ATF asks. Then it's 100% a pistol.

It's cool, but not as cool as reality where all NATO members had put .280 FN FAL into service:\

Tiger is that civilian SVD with useless nonexistant very mild rifling?

@НиколайЛис-п4л стреляют они одинаково, это верно. Из Тигра даже наверное скорость полета пули на выходе из ствола выше за счёт меньшего сопротивления. А вот точность будет разная, и не в пользу Тигра.

@quadroninja2708 and it may sound like heresy, but surprisingly true one. First series AK had stamped receiver that was easily warped due to load or heat ie it was crap. Second series AK used milled receiver ie it was very expensive. Third series AK had reliable stamped receiver ie it was good and cheap, BUT the stamping procedure was refined by no other then Hugo Schemeisser and his crew ie it wasn't exactly soviet anymore:D So yeah, AK was either shitty, or expensive, or not really soviet depending on which production series you look at. AKM on the other hand was, and still is, an awesome gun. And that also doesn't change the fact that first batch AK is rare collectable item. P.S.: and that's before we touch on chinese AK clones which were made from low quality steel and could bend in your hands.

@quadroninja2708 "You're obviously biased" Said the guy with profile bio written in russian, who's trying to defend AK's reputation without knowing any of its history 🤦 Вот оно, поколение ЕГЭ...
1
@quadroninja2708 >literary gets a whole lecture on differences between AK production runs >"Nah, I'm gonna ignore that, you're all biased". 🤦
1
@quadroninja2708 "What came after polishing the AK" is called AKM and it's a separate firearm. And I'm pretty sure that given the country in question(Somethingsomethinghappyland of Mozambique), the flag likely represents either AKM or Type 56 too. YOU are the one that chose AK as an example. Next time choose one you know something about then.
1
@quadroninja2708 good point, especially since NOBODY talked about prototype. Series 1 refers to first production series. It's several thousand guns produced between 1949 and 1951. It's a bit too late to call such scale prototypes, lol:D

@30-06Lover term battle rifle was invented in 1990's only after Cold War "ended". But yeah, retroactively by 70+ year old historic "foresight" they can be classified as battle rifles.
