  1. Results? What results do you speak of and what are the goals of DoE? Public education was introduced in 19th century as a way to produce factory workers and then later on in 20th century it was shifted a bit to increase consumer base. That's all. Did US ran out of cheap unskilled labour, who consume pointless things? No? Then why do you claim that their results are poor?
