  2. +willl676 what he did instead is blow up one of the limited number of livable planets of Empire. And unlike Imperium, I don't recall mentions of terraforming activities being usual procedure. And give rebellion a martyr for a cause... it's like as if USA dropped nukes not on Hiroshima, but on Berlin during Victory Parade of Allies:D

  3. Khorne Flakes memes aside, "grimdark" 40k is doing better then 90% of noblebright sci-fi. Empire in Star Wars destroyed Aldebaran just because it could for example.

Imperium sends Liberation Fleets to strangle away the world ALREADY CONSUMED by daemons or tyranids, simply because they can be fixed and people can live there again later. Unlike them Empire hadn't even tried to send forces:D So nope, it's still a completly autistic waste of resources. Which was the biggest mistake they've ever did. As I've said "memes aside"(such as Inquisitor using Exterminatus for no reason), Imperium knows what excessive force means. However necron Tomb World is an exception here, since the planet is basically an enemy military base to it's very core, you'll never be able to control it and pacify it.
