@KhabarovVictor ehm... "fight a war to prevent a war" was a justification for invading Iraq. What's your problem with that justification if "preemptive strike" is accepted military tactic as long as you are the winner?;)

@paulbenedict1289 just like poles believing that "soviets were worse then nazis", "Zaolsie, Brest, Wilno and Danzig being all equally polish by God's will", "ukranians and belarusians being fake culture and languages made up by soviets to justify taking away rightful polish land", "poles being liked more then russians in Belarus and Ukraine" and many other interesting bits of madness. But keep it coming, some guy who insults people for their family history;)

@doxun7823 modern russian propaganda(yes, the one that demonizes Stalin, but ironically praises Mussolini. You approve of this change, right?;) claims that Finland was basically ruled by leftover Russian Empire officers and Whites so it was basically guaranteed to attack Leningrad and align themselves with the germans. And there were finns that supported said nazi ideals even more then their own country, just looks up the guy who became the basis of the song "Soldier of the Three Armies".

@ruthlesstruth8639 if we go by value, Sweden provided Allies with more 40mm AA guns then Axis with iron ore.

@jussim.konttinen4981 weird PoV, but the the one not without a point. Countries that were in Axis, but switched sides when Allies approached were the ones least suffering in terms of population losses. Though in most cases those also were countries NOT included in Generalplan Ost so it's hard to make a concrete analogy here. Would have Poland suffered as much if it was in the Axis and was later betrayed by germans? Or would nazis somehow twist their tale and claim that poles are aryans too if Poland would have joined them in 1937 or earlier? That's a "several dozen millions lives worth" question right there...

Why not start an offensive in 1941 when your rearming programm ends only in 1943 according to author, who believes that tanks with wheeled drive is an evidence of Napoleonic ambitions(ah yes, Czech empire conquered by mighty Kolohusenka)? Suvorov is russian army intelligence if I recall right. Yet he tries to dabble in engineering matters he doesn't understand and believes that somebody liked russians before USSR:D

@ChillDudelD funny how your comment exactly matches mine. Hard to use same argumentation for all of them, isn't it? Funny how you didn't mention whom was the "rightful owner" of Vilnius and Brest-Litovsk for 700 years... And again, never are germans as right as in their population censuses whenever they are convenient to someone:D Real specialists right there. But why do I treat it as a joke, what do I find funny here? Is there something else you don't want to mention...

@doxun7823 so "preemptive war" is a statement of ultranationalism? I would have agreed, but then I wouldn't want to be the one to take flak for outright calling yankees nazis;)

@Kumimono Romania supports this claim, Hungary stands against this claim. So it's 50/50 with each side claiming that their 50 is 100. There is however little factor called Sweden, country with good military, intent to not take sides other then their own and who even irl refused to allow Allied volunteers to enter Finland from their side. So in case Finland indeed did join up Mr.H's suicide pact, Sweden would have made sure to make Finland reconsider and sit quiet. But on the other hand France also had one of the strongest militaries and probably the greatest military industry in Europe... many variables.

@05KAR have you just admitted that poles act the same way as russians towards Belarus and Ukraine? And that somehow makes it good? Sorry for asking, but are you braindead? Maybe you wanted to use some other statement as your argument rather then the one that admits everything I said was true?:D Yeah, sure, "poles are the same as russians", I agree. Now if only we had nukes for both...

@MyPrideFlag Literary every second pole I meet online. Which means that we're talking about mass revanchism brainwash of people between 12-30, I presume. I haven't visited Poland in almost 20 years, but that crap wasn't as widespread back then. Some people I was with even talked russian and there was no shit flinged at them for that. If you haven't watched the news, Putin is preparing for invasion of Ukraine right now. Likely with "lawful"(ie allowed by mustached ass on the throne) occupation of Belarus to use it as a way to encircle ukranians from the north. If you think it's bad, you haven't been following the media in last few weeks. Russians are pulling no stops on their propaganda campaign.

Those are two different types of poles(but you can guess which one you mostly exclusively meet online;)) Same as russians - there are people supporting Navalny and opposition forces, there are those who scream to invade Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus. Do I treat them the same too? People in-between?(though I admit I developed a certain degree of disgust at people who claim to "not be interested in politics and neutral" over past decade) Or do you mean governments? Come on, elaborate. My position should be obvious if you've read my comments, but I'll gladly repeat it 100500 times for every person who has trouble with reading comprehension, basic logic and understanding context and tone.

@MyPrideFlag My bet is on actual invasion sadly. And knowing russians, on Christmas/New Year period when NATO countries would have lowered response capability. Putin didn't warn anybody. Ukraine didn't notice it either. It was US satellites, who noticed the forces movement and construction of "frontline" roads along the border. US warned Ukraine and raised alarm. Nobody else had the same satellite group capability to notice it. So Putin DID intend to keep it low profile. It isn't anymore, yes. But the initial intent WASN'T a show. At least not a show intended for Ukraine since they wouldn't have noticed... P.S.: and if they would escalate conflict to invade through Belarus to crush political "opposition"(considering cockroach lost the elections, I'm not sure whom is opposition to whom now;) on the rise and to open second northern front for Ukraine, then it can probably escalate to amassing forces near Kaliningrad/Konigsberg-Belarus corridor, which is where Russia can cut of Lithuania and the rest of the Baltics from ground support from NATO. And damned "latvians" would probably be even happy for that:(

@MyPrideFlag if only you knew how much I hope that I am wrong in this... But you know, it's like betting on the end of the world - you lost, you still live and everything is fine vs you won and at least you go to hell with cold one and 20$ extra in your pocket. Win win situation regardless;) If I'm wrong my life won't be on fire with a bit of lead, if I'm right I have at least won the argument:P
