You know why; 3)because PRC is using their own equipment standards and have already replaced Russia on weapons market. Or rather swallowed their market share. There is no backwards compatibility between modern chinese equipment and old soviet one. And once people make the switch, it becomes too expensive to switch back to soviet/russian equipment again. Tl:dr success and independence of chinese arms industry killed russian arms industry.
