  1.  @patricksmith9700  Chief IS human. If wars in Halo would end one day, he CAN return to civilian life he was robbed off or become an officer. Astartes have 1)too many alterations done to them, most of which border on vivisection; 2)have completely inhuman psyche. When people say that Astartes have no mercy and feel no compassion, it's LITERAL. Chief is how far a human can go and remain human, Astartes is what lies beyond. DoW series and Space Marine has given people a false perception of normalcy around Space Marines. They're not any more human then T-800 and that is a f//cking murderbot in a meat suit.
