I'd take a guess that it has something to do with studio execs believing that putting shrinking budget, shared equipment, overworked and underpaid crew, actors, who might have worked in some cases as well as director and scriptwriter and demanding a movie from them just by giving them a movie name, character and timeline would automatically produce a successful movies. Meanwhile good movies have scripts rewritten over DECADES and spend one or two more in production hell. MCU barely worked out with half the movies being pointless filler nobody recalls. Like first two Thor movies for example. They're not even a spectacle.
