11:40 That technology already exists and is in use... by italians. Subcaliber "beam riding" shells for OTOMATIC have 57mm caliber. They have 3 correction charges places behind the warhead perpendicular to the casing. Using the rotation and those 3 charges you can make 3 small corrections. Problem? This ammo costed the same as beam riding/external radar guided missiles. Which is MUCH cheaper then missiles with all internal sensor package, but still TOO MUCH. So italians dropped this programm. And since US army won't go to Italy and ask to just make shells for them because national pride is a great reason for decisions like picking M14 over FN FAL and G3, you can expect a billion dollar two decade programm to make those shells... which will fail:D Using IDF approach and just buying shells from NATO allies would have resulted in ready solution in 3-5 years. But the shells would be too costly anyway.

@geraldwatts401 sensory and informational overload. Look it up. Or look at interbellum french tanks that tried to run with 2 man crews and single man turrets specifically to preserve manpower after WWI to have more tanks fielded for the same amount of crewmen. Didn't work out so well...

@geraldwatts401 soviet tanks had all that and T-14 had pushed it even further. But ask any expert and they'd still tell you why going below 3 people is an idioticy. You want a prove that YOU can understand? Launch WoT, Warthunder or Battlefield where single person(YOU) control a vehicle with everything automated by the game, perfect communication with your teammates, magical 3rd person view, instant and precise minimap and UI that showcases and marks all important info for you. Now explain to me why players still fail to communicate, why no one looks at minimap, why players run past enemies and shoot their own and why everyone is constantly in tunnel vision? Because you can't have driver, gunner and commander as same person and expect to do their jobs at 100%.
