  2. Tbh the only thing anybody expected from that competition was to see next gen 5.56 ammo(yes, 5.56. Nobody cares for weird calibers either as NATO standardisation has higher priority), be it steel base or full polymer case. Nobody expected any rifle to actually "win" and Sig's rifle here is holding only through sheer lobby effort. Not saying it's bad, just that it's not actually filling any new role that current iterations of M4 and M16 don't already.
