Good to hear that they're supposedly prioritising cancelling interest on older loans and loans paid in full. Given that you mention 1997, that also implies useful degrees😅

@DMH52 where did it say that he didn't? There wouldn't be any need to cancel debts if interest rate on student loans was capped at 100% ie he wouldn't need to pay over 28k. People pay their monthly payments, where have you gotten different claims, eh?

@Vancelle a degree that exists solely to fool idiots out of their family money, get a loan on top and promises to give them skills that are related to freely available information over de facto hobby is by the definition a useless degree. There are dozens of those and I wouldn't be surprised if nowadays those university scams had broadened to cover "Youtuber degree", "Tiktoker degree" and whatever else. P.S.: let's bet that this comment would be shadowbanned now.

@Vancelle well, since my comment won't show up, I'll try to rephrase without calling university scammers and their naive clientele what they are. There are A LOT of "degrees" that sell openly available information for a hobby with a promise to make you THE next big, let's adjust for nowadays realities, YTber or TikToker to de facto kids at expense of all their family saving plus a loan on top. There ARE useless and scam "degrees" even at best universities and nowadays it seems like there's more of them then real ones. You can't become a doctor, engineer or particle physicist on open knowledge alone(though there are some brilliant people, who can), but you absolutely can master those hobby "degrees" with openly available knowledge and especially practice. All the "big ones" of today somehow did without scam "degrees". So, will this one show up?
