As for Taiwan and Hong Kong, USA made it apparent which side they chose with their silence. You should strengthen the ties with EU, India, Japan, Russia and Iran instead, they won't be kneeling to chinese corporation and their lobby money(ok, Russia is 50/50. Putin is too dumb to realise that China is greatest threat to his country and its people).

However dealing with China nowadays is a suicide, plain and simple. Yeah, sure, let's deal with China to weaken USA and raise ourselves, what could go wrong? Right? Does anybody ever think what'll happen if China actually wins in economical standoff with USA though? USA is already bending itself to China on most issues due to corporate pressure and lobbies.

Same people who pay for a dozen new aircraft carriers with refit of previous dozen to new standards for a "defending" country. Same people, who pay for all the care packages for every son of a billionaire, who f//cked over another company or fund gifted to them by parents and was told to just try again. Taxpayers, like you, me and everyone else here. And having proper maternal/paternal leave isn't that much to ask when you're simultaneously being robbed for all other shit including the ones listed above that you're not getting any benefit from.

What I like the most about US economic system is the irony of licking boots to billionaires, helping them rise, groom them... only to see them switch their loayalty to China just like rats running from sinking ship to a place that will make them more money in the long run. Blind patriotism kind of dies out when you have more then a million of annual income and freedom of movement, but I guess that was a secret to everyone.
