@Phil-uw5dr US never needed higher taxes to pay for universal healthcare or increasing education levels, it needs to deal with rampant TAX EVASION. Both democrats and republicans are both agreeeing on only one thing, they want to tax poor people more and they want to get rid off of the remaining few percent of middle class. They just want the money, where to spend them isn't even important, just an afterthought:D You may call them(ie democrats) socialists and republicans fascists, but it doesn't change the fact that they suck lobby cock and cover trillions in tax evasion.

@Damatis capitalism in US was killed off in 80's under Reagan, who killed it off to win Cold War. Free market died even before that under Kennedy. Don't blame them either for shortcomings of corporativist oligarchy that works solely for chinese lobby money.

With whom? USSR collaborated with Weimar Republic. When Hitler came to power all ties between two were cut until 1939 in favor of other countries. Like Poland for example;)

@mikeltelleria1831 the same way it is comparable to Roman times since politics and humans still work by the same laws even if percentage of people, who understand them varies. Russia just like any other big country would be an opponent simply because it wants to be independent and thus is a potential competitor. Add superpower ambitions on top and now you have a reason to call it Hell on Earth lead by Satan himself:\ Ideology doesn't matter.

You won't believe it, but there are more then 2 people on internet. 2)it doesn't change the fact that Russia would still be attacked because of resources it has. Heartland theory predates commies. As do the plans to make Russia and Germany tear at each other even before WWI. It wouldn't be called Red Scare, but until that lebensraum isn't talking in english, whomever rules it would be "an enemy of all of mankind and the avatar of all evil". It's not about commies, kids. It's about russians daring to survive and not bend a knee.

Maybe not. It also depends if Poland will side with germans to rip apart Czechoslovakia as it did irl:D Russia still would have seen Poland as former part of Russian Empire, BUT it wouldn't have such an easy part to justify it to it's own population. As a result it'll likely prefer to keep it as a buffer state as it was post war and instead just sponsor the communist rise in power in Poland. It would have also changed international views about Poland, with more immigrants willing to support it and talk in its defense. And above all else it would also mean stronger independent Lithuania.
