  1. Either 1)ukranians captired Doc Brown and his DeLorrean, or 2)someone in the media is desperate for catchphrases and to blame ukranians for using improvised weapons. This thing is straight from 90's, I remember it at least in two videogames made in post-soviet era(Coyotes: The Law of the Desert is one if I recall right, the other is also some Fallout wannabee). So original design would be either some cartel gun or something from Balkan wars when AK were becoming widespread after the fall of Warsaw Pact and USSR.
