@smitty6480 I don't see upon which value the tax should be added in case of Google, Facebook and so on. They don't produce(Stadia is one exception) and they don't technically charge you for their services. Yes, they work with advertisers, but your payment is your time and your info... which with the rise of 100500 VPN providers already looks like two party extortion:D

@ColorFusical you're not choosing either for a lifetime, but instead for 4 years. The point is to at least get the ball rolling! Plus UBI would be denied by chinese lobbied Congress anyway:D

@smitty6480 except all those tech companies would just run to Ireland and other tax havens. US needs to introduce capital laws akin to those used in Taiwan, South Korea and Japan to preserve national wealth. Then next step is reforming educational and healthcare system as well as introducing customer protection and labor laws inspired by working examples from ANZAC and EU. Only inspired in both cases as copying laws of another country with different history and culture won't work. But it still won't matter if the international focus won't change to cooperation instead of trying to dominate and screw over even close allies.

@smitty6480 they're ALREADY evading taxes. In fact were doing so for decades. Those that actually produce and sell their products on US soil have harder time doing so, but there are still plenty of methods. So raising taxes isn't as an important step as simply forcing the fuckers to pay what they should have already and what everyone else much poorer then they are were already doing for decades! If not centuries. A common theme.
