  1. In the Netherlands, an algorithm designating students for inspection (do they live with their parents or not? If so they get a higher amount of scolarship) was found to scoop up too many students with migratory background. This is because they tend to live closer to their parents which in itself tends to be used as a way to commit fraud, therefore it targeted this aspect. Of course, the algorithm is deemed indirectly discriminating and so is pulled, as well as the secretary of education making apologies on govn level.
