Yeah, an unholy alliance. The world would be truly and thoroughly fucked then. But two complete lunar psychopathic [feel free to add relevant mental affliction of choice] like these two working together? I doubt it would last a week.

There were also Osttruppen in the Netherlands, manning the Atlantikwall there. The 882nd Georgian Battalion was billeted on the largest Dutch island of Texel, 800 Georgians, 400 German troops. The Georgians mutinied, killing almost all germans in their sleep in the night from april 5th to april 6th 1945 trying to rehabilitate themselves somewhat, expecting to be transferred to the front in the Netherlands, having to fight the western Allies. Germans brought in reinforcements and a days long struggle followed, the last of the Georgians surrendering, but hundreds took shelter from local civilians. The 20th of may Canadian troop reached the island. 236 Georgians returned to Georgia alive, 476 remain buried on the island. Sounds like a great topic for a Mark Felton documentary!
