  2. they were covering it up and denying it for years. now convention organizers have had so many people outraged that the conventions would be held there they are going elsewhere because otherwise no one was attending. tourist agencies are also getting mad because their customers were outraged to not have been told of the problems in San Fran and refusing to book with that agency for future trips.
