  15. john lewis  false it is US military and naval power that dominates the world. The brit navy were devastated in ww2 in one fell swoop. The US navy which at the time was in fact more powerful then the UK, easily replaced the losses in Pearl Harbor and expanded drastically. The US pioneered battleship diplomacy the US was in fact for over 150 years and still today the most powerful Navy.

The Royal Navy had old outdated ships hence why the Royal Navy had such huge losses in engagements where they outnumbered the Germany two to one. yes the US did lead in battleship diplomacy under Roosevelt since it was part of his big stick approach.
