  5.  @katschrodinger954  these were uninsured deposits. while each insured account has a limit of 250k you can legally have multiple insured accounts at each branch location. its theoretically possible for a company legally to have tens of thousands of insured accounts and the banks will help set this up for say payroll purposes since they will charge a small transaction fee like 1% and get a bulk of their money from corporations this way. for some reason the ability to look up basic info escapes people.
