  4.  @thorin1045  nuclear reactors require huge amounts of water along with uranium. this is why France often shuts down a third of nuclear plants in the summer when river water is low due to the massive power demand to cool down the people so thousands of them don't die. then there is the waste issue which also includes the nuclear plant especially the reactor cores when it is decommissioned.

Yucca Mountain would never have been proposed if it wasn't. nuclear power reactors boil water to produce steam to turn a turbine. the very nature of a nuclear power reactor to power a city or installation means you need water lots of water. add in the cooling pool for the control rods,
