  1. one reason for the downward trend is that taxes are being applied and lots of these transactions cost money to do. so money laundering is down. plus lots of these crypto people got pissed that it takes five minutes to get a beer using crypto wheras with a credit card it is basically instant

  3. bitconnect scam was 2 billion dollars. many people lost their life savings. same with mt.gox and many other crypto scams

  4.  @rindallbroxmitten  the majority of crypto, nfts being involved with criminal activity or pump and dump scams doesn't make crypto attractive to anyone with a brain. also if you want to use crypto to buy something it can take five minutes to hours for the transaction to be approved using an app whereas a traditional credit card it is instant. plus you have the issue only so much crypto can be traded in a day, the the gas fees which are even applied to transactions that failed which recently hit one of the largest crypto currencies in a recent scandal. people that were transferring says hundreds to thousands of dollars worth in crypto were getting by transaction fees of 14,000 dollars or more even though the transaction didn't go through.
