ian on the comments stated it was a post dealer sample. apparently the dealer just got it and was showing it to Ian at his range. Ian doesn't know the history of the maker and if the person who did this was still at the SOT shop.

@Alex-co7cq that instructor should never have handed an uzi to a child. even adults can get killed by firing an uzi in full auto if they try to do a mag dump (which takes a lot practice to hold it steady) instead of just short bursts. even aks in full auto have flipped around and killed their inexperienced user.

century arms does a decent job for the price. they do a ton of different builds and hence like any maker that does a huge number of guns they sometimes have duds but often the stories are exaggerated. https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/the-new-american-made-ak-the-ras47/

@alexsis1778 import of full autos is only allowed for military or police. its why movie and tv studios film up in canada because they don't have any restrictions on the importing of machine guns for the civ market. yes there is a civ market for machine guns in canada, its for the film industry.

@alexsis1778 actually dealer samples are used by gun ranges in the US, or are used by security forces such as Wells Fargo that can use m16s in states like New York city, or are police dept issued or if a movie studio is only going to use us made machine guns for a movie or tv production a movie armorer provides them. blank guns are still registered machine guns even if built to use blanks.
